Guidelines for Conference Submission
Thank you for your interest in contributing to the ICTA-EMOS Conference 2026. To ensure a smooth review and publication process, all authors are required to follow the official submission process through the conference portal.
Important: The submission process takes place in two stages. Authors must first submit an abstract. Once the abstract has been reviewed and accepted, normally within 24 hours, authors may then proceed to submit the full paper through the paper submission section of the portal.
All full paper submissions will undergo peer review. Accepted and presented papers will be considered for publication in the conference proceedings, subject to review outcomes, editorial checks, and publisher requirements.
⚠️ Final Submission Deadline: All full papers must be successfully uploaded by 30 June 2026, 23:59 EAT. The portal will close automatically after this time.
1. Pre-Submission Checklist
Before logging into the portal, please ensure your manuscript meets the following requirements:
- Language: English
- Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
- Template and Format: Manuscripts must be written using the appropriate Springer Nature template.
- Download MS Word Template | Download LaTeX Template
- Review the Springer Nature Manuscript Guidelines for detailed preparation rules.
- Submission Length Requirements:
- Full papers: Up to 8 pages, including references, figures, and tables.
- Short papers: Up to 4 pages, including references, figures, and tables.
- Case studies: Length should follow the relevant submission category or conference guidance.
- Abstract Length: Abstracts should be between 250 and 300 words.
- ⚠️ Page Limit Policy: Authors are advised to keep manuscripts concise and within the standard page limit where possible. Papers exceeding the standard full paper length may incur additional page charges.
2. Submission Process
Stage 1: Submit Your Abstract First
Step 1: Access and Login
- Go to the ICTA-EMOS 2026 Submission Portal.
- Click Login in the top-right corner.

- Note: Authors must have an account to submit. If you do not have an Indico account yet, click Create one here.

Step 2: Initiate Abstract Submission
- Once logged in, locate and click the blue "Submit a new abstract" button.
- ⚠️ Do not upload the full paper at this stage unless the system specifically requests it. The first step is to submit the abstract for review.

Step 3: Fill Out the Abstract Submission Form
When the submission window appears, complete the fields as outlined below:
- Title: Enter the full title of your proposed submission.
- Content: Provide a brief summary or introduction of your work. You can use Markdown and LaTeX math formulae here if needed.
- Authors: Add yourself and any co-authors who contributed to the work.
- Contribution Type: Select the intended contribution type, such as Full Paper, Short Paper, or Case Study.

- Tracks & Sub-themes: Select the thematic area from the list that best aligns with your research focus. Please ensure your chosen track and sub-theme match.
- Abstract: Enter your 250–300 word abstract text.
- Keywords: Enter relevant keywords that describe the research focus, method, and contribution of your work.
- Corresponding Author: Designate the author responsible for communication regarding review, revisions, and presentation details.

💡 Final Tip for Abstract Submission: Double-check that your title, abstract, authors, contribution type, track, and keywords are correct before clicking the final Submit button.
3. After Abstract Acceptance
After submitting your abstract, please allow up to 24 hours for review. Once your abstract has been accepted, you may proceed to submit the full paper through the paper submission section of the portal.
Stage 2: Submit the Full Paper
- Log in to the ICTA-EMOS 2026 Submission Portal.
- Open the accepted abstract or the relevant paper submission section.
- Upload your full manuscript document in the required format, preferably PDF, and where requested, also provide the editable Word or LaTeX source file.
- Ensure that the uploaded manuscript follows the correct Springer Nature template.
- Confirm that the full paper file is successfully listed in the Attachments section before final submission.
⚠️ Important: Full papers should only be submitted after the abstract has been accepted. Submitting only an abstract does not complete the full paper submission process.
💡 Final Tip for Full Paper Submission: Before submitting, confirm that the full paper file has been uploaded successfully and that the correct contribution type, track, sub-theme, authors, and corresponding author have been selected.
